We’re looking for a talented MAC Credit Analyst to join our Major Agribusiness Clients (MAC) team, working alongside some of New Zealand’s largest and most complex agribusiness operations. About the role | Mō te tūranga This is more than just a credit role. As a MAC Credit Analyst, you’ll be a trusted partner within a high-performing deal team, playing a critical role in structuring and evaluating lending opportunities that support our clients’ growth and long-term success. You’ll collaborate closely with MAC Managers and Relationship Analysts to: Deliver high-quality credit analysis and submissions Structure lending solutions tailored to complex agribusiness clients Provide strategic insights into financial performance, risk, and opportunity Support business growth by enabling informed and confident lending decisions You’ll also bring your expertise to the wider team, mentoring others and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement. What You’ll Be Doing Lead the preparation of detailed, high-quality credit submissions for complex deals Analyse financial performance, forecasts, and key risks with a critical eye Assess business, industry, and structural risks (including sustainability considerations) Recommend appropriate lending structures, covenants, and conditions Partner with deal teams to deliver seamless, client-focused outcomes Identify emerging risks and proactively contribute to portfolio quality Build strong relationships with clients, internal stakeholders, and external partners Support a collaborative, high-performing team environment About you | Ō pūkenga You’re commercially savvy, naturally analytical, and thrive in a collaborative environment. You enjoy working on complex transactions and are confident navigating both detail and big-picture thinking. You’ll bring: At least 3 years’ experience in banking, finance, or agribusiness Strong financial analysis and credit writing capability A solid understanding of lending structures and risk frameworks A passion for agribusiness (experience in the sector is a bonus!)
