About the p rogramme Our Technology Graduate Programme begins with a 3-month bootcamp into software development followed by the opportunity to explore three Platform Engineering teams over two years. This includes Python Platform, Infrastructure (Linux. Windows, Networks, Storage, Databases, Infosec), End-User, and Architecture and Operations . You'll tackle impactful projects, receive formal training, gain mentorship from senior leaders and develop a thorough understanding of our business. Upon successfully complet ing the programme, you’ll be well- positioned to build a long-term career at Man Group What can you learn? Managing large internal data centres with tens of thousands of cores and hundreds of terabytes of memory, running Python at scale. Building and managing Man Group ’s infrastructure, both on-premises and in the cloud , using technologies such as Python, .Net , Linux, Windows Server, Databases and Storage Systems Writing software to automate infrastructure and creating flexible self-service technology for thousands of users across Man Group Maintaining reliable systems while administering petabyte-scale storage and large GPU deployments Operating and optimising global network interconnects within our data centres. Working closely with business stakeholders in a dynamic environment. Who are we looking for? Join us as a n Associate Engineer in the Platform Engineering department and y ou'll be part of a team that builds and runs the platform powering Man Group 's hedge funds . Key skills & experiences : Experience working with any of the following programming or scripting languages: C#/ Java/ Python/ Powershell / C++ Your technical experience may have been gained through open source maintenance, 2+ years of relevant industry experience, or as a recent graduate or currently studying for a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related discipline Understanding of how source control and continu ou s deployment workflows work with tools like git Experience administrating operating systems e.g. Linux, Windows or MacOS and u nderstanding of cloud technologies Self-organised with the ability to prioritise and effectively manage time across multiple projects Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Exceptional troubleshooting skills Self-starter with a desire to learn and understand more about the b usiness environment in which you work If you don't meet every requirement but are excited about the role and can pass our tech test, we encourage you to apply.
