About your team The Enterprise Data & Analytics function supports Fidelity Internationals Sales, Marketing, Propositions, Risk, Finance, Customer Service, HR and Corporate Property Services teams across the globe. The key objectives of the function are: To develop deep customer insights for our businesses helping them segment and target customers more effectively To develop a fact based understanding of sales trends and identify actionable sales growth opportunities for each of our sales channels To understand customer preferences in terms of products, service attributes and marketing activity to help refine each of these To help develop new services lines e.g. develop customer analytics for key IFAs, DC Clients, Individual clients etc. To develop market and competitive intelligence in our key markets to help shape our business planning in those markets The function works directly with business heads and other senior stakeholder’s to identify areas of analytics, define problem statements and develop key insights. About your role The Business analyst will play a critical role in bridging business need with data and analytical solutions. It is a key role within the team and the successful candidate will facilitate requirement elicitation, understanding and structuring datasets, data querying and analysis activities. The Analyst will also contribute to insights generation, storytelling, and deliver analytical solutions that inform business decision-making across functions. Key Responsibilities · Business Requirement gathering & stakeholder management · Capture & clarify business requirements through a range of analysis techniques (data flow diagrams, case tool analysis, gap analysis and work & process flow diagrams) · Function as a techno-functional expert and assist in designing solutions for business · Understand business data in depth, analyse key performance indicators and use the same to analyse the requirements further · For the data warehouse, understand the data from the source systems, identify relevant datasets and identify if there are any gaps in the data or the process being followed · Obtain agreement on business analysis deliverables ensuring that they meet all the requirements of the business · Create and maintain data dictionaries and documentation · Proactively work with business users to identify, define, and clarify scope / issues in terms of complex business/systems requirements. · Identify options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability/feasibility · Delivery and solution support: · Support business & technology teams in data analysis and during UAT phase. · Act as a proxy customer with the development teams, facilitating open communication between the customer & development team · Co-ordinate and work with onshore-offshore UK/India Technology and Business teams · Help in creating prototypes for ultimate deliverables using data blending and reporting tools like Alteryx, PowerBI · Stay abreast of key emerging products / industry standards in the Business Analysis arena · Insights & Storytelling o Analyse data to identify patterns, opportunities, and risks, going beyond “what happened” to “why it happened” and “what should be done.” o Create clear, compelling data stories and visualisations tailored to business audiences. o Contribute to presentations for senior stakeholders, ensuring insights are actionable and relevant. · Strategic Analysis & Business Impact o Support pods in designing and running small-scale analytics projects that demonstrate business impact (e.g., product growth, sales drivers, client behaviour, client experience, retention analysis). o Assist in evaluating KPIs and performance metrics, linking insights to business outcomes. o Participate in hypothesis testing, segmentation analysis, and other techniques under guidance from senior colleagues. About you Experience & Qualifications required: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Business, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline Experience o Overall 4 to 7 years of experience in Analytics, insights or consulting o Knowledge of Database & Reporting technologies/systems like Snowflake, Oracle, Hyperion etc. o Good knowledge and hands-on experience in Reporting and BI tools like Power BI, Python, SQL o Demonstrated ability to analyse datasets, draw insights, and communicate results in an accessible way. o Experience of working with JIRA AGILE framework o Knowledge of Data Science concepts will be an additional benefit o Experience in working with data volumes and data reconciliation activities o Good knowledge of PL/SQL or SnowSQL for data querying & analysis will be an added advantage o Exposure to structured software development life-cycle methodology (preferably Agile or Iterative development) Good to Have o Prior experience of working with Corporate property services/ Real estate planning/ facilities/ HR & administrative functions Personal Characteristics o Experience of working with multi-cultural teams in a geographically diverse environment o Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills o Strong problem solving skills with the ability to think laterally to arrive at a solution o Must have an eye for detail and analyse/relate to the business problem in hand o Ability to develop & maintain good relationships with all business and systems stakeholders Feel rewarded For starters, we’ll offer you a comprehensive benefits package.
