They independently apply experience and judgement to analyzing exceptions, identifying the appropriate course of action, determining who should be involved in resolving the issue or exception, and implementing solutions. For particularly complex/ambiguous issues, they work with the Lead Analyst to determine the appropriate course of action. They possess a growth mindset and proactively identify, recommend, and implement continuous improvement efforts with oversight from the Lead as needed. The role may lead small to moderately sized internal or external projects and priorities. Role Summary: Demonstrates in-depth knowledge in their assigned areas and obtains guidance from the Lead, as needed. Performs and/or provides oversight of daily production and delivery of work to identify, assess, and resolve exceptions for a specific area of focus. Operates as a technical subject matter expert for their area. Applies knowledge, experience, sound judgement, and business acumen, to analyze, assess, recommend, and implement solutions in a timely manner and in response to identified exceptions with oversight from the Lead, as necessary. Collaborates with other Equity Operations facing departments (e.g., legal & compliance, trading, core operations, and vendors) to diagnose and resolve issues and/or move the business forward. Performs and/or monitors more complex operational duties for investment vehicles servicing the Institutional, Retail, and High-Net Worth distribution channels. Performs trade confirmation, processing, settlement and claims for global equity markets. Identifies, recommends, and participates in continuous improvement activities. Required Skills/Abilities : Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Able to assess issues, identify potential solutions, and implement changes/improvements to achieve the right outcomes and that have tangible and impactful implications for the business. For complex/ambiguous issues, will collaborate with Lead Analyst on best course of action Proactively identify opportunities and drive implementation with oversight as needed Ability to lead and effectively manage process and procedural changes Ability to apply a global mindset when working through issues or developing solutions Existing knowledge of, or ability to quickly assimilate to, Capital Group-specific institutional practices and knowledge (e.g., knowledge of the investment management industry as it relates to Capital Group’s various lines of business (e.g., Retail, Institutional, High Net Worth), investment mandates, investment vehicle structures, investment operations, competitive landscape, and reporting and regulatory environment.
